What is Electric Current?

"Electric current is nothing but a flow of charge".
Most people often get confuse and define current as flow of electrons. Flow of electrons is true but its an incomplete definition of electric current. For example in a semiconductor device we say that conduction is due to flow of both electrons and holes, hence the definition of "flow of electrons" doesnt hold good here.

  2. This normally happens due to voltage fluctuations.
Our appliances are normally designed to work at rated voltage of 240 volts. They have to be protected using a proper circuit breaker/fuse.

There might be some problem in main Junction of your area.
Please be specific about your problem to get appropriate reply.
